The APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Excellence in Education in Bihar was presented to Qurtuba Welfare Foundation. The Prayan Foundation was also awarded for its outstanding social empowerment initiatives.
The Royal G Foundation, headquartered in Muzaffarpur, instituted the award. Qurtuba Principal Syed Muddassir Hudavi and Prayan Foundation Projects Director Jamal Hudavi received the award from Bihar Information Technology Minister Israil Sahib at the Shiv Complex Auditorium in Muzaffarpur.
